Accurate data collection will boost the Agriculture.

India is very rich in biodiversity. Due to it different climatic conditions. India produce a lot of agriculture crops in different climatic conditions like, cereals, pulses, oil seeds, spices, fiber, commercial, vegetables, Fruits, medicinal, herbs, meat, fish, eggs and many more. It requires a lot of data collection for proper mapping of the all crops. Data is key of agriculture development and farmers welfare. Accurate data collection will boost Indian Agriculture.  Farmers are producing the over supplied crops and at the time of harvesting prices of crops comes down due to distress selling. If the Farmers are advised properly before showing about the oversupply of crop, farmer will not go for that crop. With the help of proper data collection Govt and farmers can come out from the common agriculture problems. Bad agriculture loan is becoming problem for the financial health of country, availability of the real and updated agriculture data can improve the financial health of the country. By the next general election farmers loan waiver may reach up to 2,70,000 Crore. This is very alarming figure for the growing economy. Farmers are doing suicide due to unpaid credit and poor financial problems. Farmers take the loan in expectation of better yield, goo rate and financial return but at the time of harvesting, but at the time of harvesting farmers can’t recover the cost of cultivation. Every year more than 5000 farmers commits suicides in India. In year 2004 this number was 18241.

Post-harvest loss of agriculture produce in India is more than 92,000 crores. Food processing Industry in India has not developed in India to its full capacity. Indian food processing industry is 10 % of its full potential. Current Indian food processing sector is just 434 billion USD, by 2020 it will reach to 911 Billion. There is full potential for employment generation and financial growth in Indian agriculture and agro processing industry. India is importing a lot of crude oil for fuel purpose. There are possibilities that petrol can be substituted by the Ethanol. Even ethanol will be little bit costlier but Indian will save a huge Foreign exchange which is used in import of crude oil for fuel purpose. Sugarcane farmers faces a lot of problems due poor demand of sugar in local and international market.

Agriculture should be collected at Four level Farm Inputs, Crop Production, Processing & Marketing. All these data should be feed/collected on single platform. Availability of authentic and correct data will lead to good decision making and proper planning. Collection of authentic data is also base of the agro processing industry and further export of the agriculture products. We can decide the estimated production potato by the available of selling of chemical used in seed treatment of the seed potato. These data collection will help farmers, farm input companies, financial institutes, agro-processing companies, agro warehousing, government. India can control the agriculture import bill, which is more than 1,20,000 Crore Rupees.

Farm Inputs level data collection:

Farm input is the first point to start the agriculture production. Farmer purchase seeds, plants, fertilizers, power, fuel for agriculture production. Once the farmer starts the sowing then it will give the basic idea about the yield output after a certain period in normal condition. It will also give a basic idea about the attack of disease and insects. Agriculture finance and agriculture insurance must be strictly linked to the available data so that farmers should not face any financial hurdle. It will ensure that farm loan is used for farm production only. Farmers will be also protected from the inferior quality farm inputs and seeds. Farm input retails and farmers both can feed or collect these data.

Crop Production level data collection:

This will be the actual data of crop production which will be collected from the farmers and the Agriculture commodities buyer. These data are very important for the further planning of the agro-processing and emergency planning if there is shortage of in future food supply. Over supply can be addressed by the additional processing or export of the commodity with incentives. Annual collection of crop production data will give an overall all picture of the crop production potential of the country. Country will explore the potential of the agro-processing, ware housing, cold storage, logistics, international trade, Value addition.

Processing & Marketing level data collection

These are important real financial data which will make agriculture, financial strong. These data will give an idea about that how much quantity is used in raw form? how much quantity is used in processed form? how much quantity is exported? what are value addition in basic price of commodity? Processing and marketing convert the agriculture production in monetary terms. Which make the agriculture sector prosperous and it will lead to welfare of farmers.

Before 5 years agriculture data collection was a big hurdle. After the arrival of the latest communication technology and advance mobiles/ input devices it has become easy. Govt can take extra step for welfare of farmers for the real time monitoring of crop production data. In the condition of crop failure farmers can prompt assistance from the govt of any concerned institutes like Insurance, Co-operative. In today word data are real asset of any govt or industry. It will help govt to explore the new potential for Indian agriculture. Accurate data collection is way to success for Indian agriculture.

Dream of a Developed India: A Path through Agricultural Development

Dream of a Developed India: A Path through Agricultural Development

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is aiming to transform India into a Developed Nation by 2047, marking the completion of a century since the transfer of power from Britain to India in August 1947. A Developed India signifies the complete prosperity of its citizens, with agriculture playing a vital role in achieving this goal. The current population of 147.76 Crore Indians will necessitate sufficient and nutritious food for a developed India.

Presently, India heavily relies on importing essential food products such as pulses, edible oil, tree nuts, sugar, spices, and cotton, leading to a supply chain that is entirely dependent on imports. This dependence poses a potential disruption at any time and imposes a financial burden of USD 37 Billion, steadily increasing from USD 12.5 Billion in 2019. In contrast, India exported agriculture commodities worth USD 19.86 Billion in 2023.

India's diverse climatic conditions offer the opportunity to reduce import bills and increase agricultural commodity exports. Policymakers should focus on enhancing agricultural productivity. With 159.7 million hectares of agricultural land, the second-largest globally, and 82.6 million hectares of irrigated land, India can emerge as a net exportsr. Despite possessing favorable factors like land, labor, resources, climate, and biodiversity, India's dependence on edible farm produce imports must be addressed.

Dream of a Developed India: A Path through Agricultural Development

Strengthening the agricultural sector is crucial for overall development and the realization of a developed India. With the world's largest population share, India must prioritize the agricultural sector for holistic development.

Employment Creation

A significant portion of the population is engaged in agricultural production, making agriculture the largest employment creator in India. Importing farm produce not only leads to foreign exchange outflow but also results in lost employment opportunities related to that production. Improper post-harvest management contributes to significant losses in fruits, vegetables, and other non-perishable items. Properly developing the agriculture sector can mitigate wastage, adding value to the nation's economy. Agriculture can create employment in various sectors like Information Technology, Data Management, Aviation, Drones, Artificial Intelligence, Transportation, Sales Marketing, Food Processing, International Trade, Mechanical Engineering, and Shipping, requiring a skilled workforce.

Technology Development

Agriculture is currently labor-intensive and relies on traditional farming methods. The evolving business environment demands technological development in agriculture. Technologies such as agriculture drones for monitoring and spraying, AI-based farm machinery for remote operations, controlled climate farming for year-round cultivation, data analysis for decision-making, weather forecasting, app-based data collection, on-farm input delivery, on-farm commodity procurement, and food processing technologies are essential. Introducing these technologies will not only benefit agriculture but also influence other sectors, creating a ripple effect in society .

Research and Development

Agricultural development will drive research and development as companies seek new products, solutions, and services to meet market demand and address challenges. A strong research and development environment will attract investment and contribute to the creation of intellectual property, paving the way for further advancements. Currently lagging in technological farming, India needs to focus on research and development to improve crop productivity and compete globally.

Inflow of Investment

The evolving business environment will attract new investments and create opportunities for global investors in the Indiaagriculture sector. Heavy investments are required in farm inputs, machinery, post-harvest management, warehousing, food processing, and research and development. Prioritizing agriculture development will not only benefit production but also stimulate investments in linked sectors like mechanical and information Technology.

Human Resource and Education

Developed agriculture requires a high-quality human resource, necessitating a well-developed education system aligned with market requirements. Agriculture education has a wide scope globally, with subjects like plant protection, irrigation, harvesting, and nutrient management shifting to modern platforms such as blockchain Technology, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. Educating the younger generation in these technologies will prepare them for the challenges of modern farming.

Agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy, catering to both production and demand sides. Overall development of agriculture is crucial to strengthen food supply and make India self-reliant in its pursuit of becoming a developed nation.

Primary agriculture processing will profitable for farmer

Prices of agriculture commodities and produce are volatile in nature. Just after production farmer goes to market and try to sell his agriculture produce. He has three major disadvantages with just after harvest selling; peak supply period, non-graded material decreases final value of his produce, self-life or perishability of produce.

Value addition: If farmer goes for primary processing of his agriculture produce, it adds some value as buyers have to do same processing with that agriculture produce after buying from farmer. By primary processing farmer can do primary value addition to his agriculture produce which is necessary for further processing. This value addition will increase his earning from same agriculture produce. His quality will give an advantage.

Reduction of Extra cost:  A lot of transportation cost and time is involved for transpiration of agriculture produce from production point to processing point. Generally, there is some waste material with main agriculture produce, if that waste material is separated from agriculture produce at farm level then it will save cost for complete value chain.  It is very easy to segregate waste material at first stage from agriculture produce. Once waste material will come in value chain then it will bite some share from profit earned from agriculture produce.

Bypass peak arrival time: By doing primary processing of farm produce by farmer, it will consume some time. During this processing period peak arrival will come down in market and after this period arrival for that agriculture produce will go down. farmer will get premium price for same agriculture produce by avoiding the peak arrival period and quality agriculture produce.

More profit  during increasing price: Profit share in case of upward movement of price of agriculture produce. If farmer store his farm produce after primary processing. It will reduce his time consumption in selling process of agriculture commodity/ farm produce. Quality agriculture produce get decent price in upward price movement. In the case of pulses, if demand of processed pulses increases during festival period specially Diwali of other festival. End consume require processed pulses, farmer can directly sell his pulses to end consumer if it is properly processed and he can earn money by by-passing the cycle of trader, stockist, processor, whole seller retailer and consumer. He can get premium price at that time.

Hedging against price falling. When price of agriculture produce fall sharply then first effect comes to raw commodity and prices is quoted low for normal commodity.  If same agriculture commodity is processed and value added, then farmer will have time to exit before prices fall effect come to final agriculture produce. In the case of Tomato, prices of tomato fall sharply but price of source of tomato-poori don’t come down in same proportion.

Indian agriculture, agriculture news,Indian agriculture problem, farmer,Agriculture, benefit of agriculture processing,Agriculture Consultancy, Primary agriculture processing will profitable for farmer

Storage time increase. It is very hard to store processed material. If the material is processed properly then we can store agriculture produce for long time.  In case of potato if broken potato are mixed with unbroken potato, then broken potato will start to decompose fast and it will increase the decomposition of good potato.

Farmer must understand benefit of value addition of agriculture produce. He must add value to his agriculture produce up to his highest limit, so that he can increase his profit share from his agriculture produce / farm produce / agriculture commodity.

Who will pay the cost of political loan waiver promise ?

In democracy election of representative is the backbone. Political parties use this process to keep themselves in power. Now a day’s political parties are making false promise to attract the segment of the voters for mass polling in favour of their candidates. Before 2000 poverty eradication was a general issue among public for political promise. Now political parties have segmented the poor in different vote bank like dalit, backward, minority, women, farmers. These parties are making different promise to attract the voters. Due to lack of long-term policies farming sector in India is facing a lot of crises. In some state’s agriculture production is not good. In some states production is not getting enough market support due to lack of marketing infrastructure. Ultimately small and marginal farmers are not making enough profit even after good crops.

Govt provides agriculture loan for farmers on subsidized rates with easy term of return. Political parties are using the tool of farm loan waiver. These false promises are making the farmers greedy and promote the to not pay. Once the parties get the power with these promise then they try to bypass the promise like a half-cooked dish. They put a lot of terms like, limit of land, limit of waiver amount, type of bank and so and so. Parties knows it very well that they will not able to full fill the promise, but they use this strategy to come in power.

Mass loan waiver is not economically viable step of agriculture industry in short term and long term. Ultimately the economic burden come back to farmer and poor. Govt use a lot of financial resources to complete the promise. Govt puts a lot of additional taxes to cover this revenue loss. Govt increases the taxes or cut the expenditures of the long terms’ schemes. These taxes are added back to the final prices of the good used the consumers and step by step this financial burdon reaches to the poor. It increases the inflation rates. Inflation leads to increase the living cost of poor. Living expenses of poor increases. More than 90% farmers are having small and marginal land. Most of these farmers are poor.

Who will pay the cost of political loan waiver promise ?
Agriculture loan are given against the mortgage of agriculture land. Small and marginal farmers don’t have big land, so they don’t have much access to agriculture loan, Sometime title of small land holding is not clear or there are more than 2-3 owners. Bank don’t give loan due to documentation problems. Ultimately this loan waiver will not benefit them. There is one another category of farmers who take the land on rent and do the agriculture. Generally, these farmers are known as land less farmers. They have also not access of the agriculture loan. Above two categories are very important category for agriculture production and food security. This loan waiver will not also benefit to tenant farmers.

Big farmers have access to agriculture loan easily. They have big land holding and their land titles are clear. These farmers have good profit from agriculture since the fix cost are very low. This category of farmers is political influential category. These big farmers are also part of local power. In some cases, it was seen that they rent their land to land less small farmers. They take loan from bank even after they are not doing agriculture. They take the loan from bank and give this loan on credit to land less farmers at market rates. This market rates are more that 5-6 time higher than the institutional agriculture loan. If some farmers want to play safe, then they withdraw the agriculture loan and re-invest it in bank as Fix Deposit. In worst and safe case, they are earning 3% - 5% interest. Once the govt change then these farmers get benefit of loan waiver. This loan waiver cost is born by the poor farmers and land less farmers. This loan waiver doesn’t help the category of farmers who need it.

Instead of this loan waiver Govt should invest in market infrastructure, storage, processing. With these steps post-harvest losses will be come down. Self-life of agriculture produce will increase, farmers will have easy access of market. Farmers will safe from the condition of distress selling or over production. These practices will generate the new employment. Excess production will available for export. It will increase the income from agriculture production. In the condition of excess production and distress selling, farmers throw the commodity / produce on road. With in one-two month farmers purchases same produce at 10-20 time more cost.

Economic point of view loan waiver breaks the economic cycle of the agriculture industry. Money doesn’t return on time to the source. In some cases, it was also seen that agriculture loan goes to lifestyle expenses, non-agriculture needs of farmers, or some other head for which agriculture loan was not sanctioned. Farmer organization, farmers, civilians should arise voice against these non-economical steps. If the money will go to long term investment, then it will be beneficial for whole industry an stake holders. Today word is moving toward the precision agriculture, automation of agriculture, soil less farming, urban agriculture. If we will not invest in right direction then our market will be flooded with the imported food items. It will be disaster for local Indian agriculture and not one will spare.

Blockchain technology in Agriculture

Blockchain technology in Agriculture will change the scenario of current AgricultureAgriculture is a primary requirement of human rehabilitation. It is major job provider to world populations. Agriculture is facing a lot of problem due to poor data integration.  Somewhere people are doing overproduction and somewhere people are dying due to hunger & malnutrition. Problem is not with production, the problem is with integration and interpretation of information. Agriculture data are collected by the various organization but unfortunately, all these data are not integrated. They are centralized in the different organization. A crop cultivation starts today, and it gives production after 4-5 months. After 4-5 months due to poor storage facilities and poor prices, farmers throw the produce on roads, but no consumer gets that commodity free of cost.  4-5 months is sufficient time for decision making about storage and demand generation. Govt can come with “that particular crop” friendly policy so that after production produce is consumed properly and timely.

Blockchain is simply digitalized decentralized public ledger.  Which is verified by its own users. Blockchain gives a clear detail about the transfer of information from one block to another block.  Blocks are simply the point of transitions. This information is shared with all the network hardware equally. Every block has clear information from where this information is coming and where this information is going. There are clear digital identities of every block. Which can’t be changed by one or two people? If someone will try to change then blockchain will declare false to the entire chain of information and it will not be accepted by the blockchain network. There is no control on information, of one person. If information will be digitally true, then only it will be accepted.  No one can put a false information in a network. No one can delete the accepted true information.

Blockchain Technology In India
How is it helpful in agriculture?

In agriculture, there are three major stockholders, first producer, the value addition person and last consumer.  If we integrate all the information real time, then it will become very easy for all the major stockholder.   There are three major problems, which leads to price inflation or deflation in agriculture overproduction, lower production, and wastage. All these problems can be solved by the blockchain technology. Blockchain technology is peer to peer there is no one in between who will read the information. A consumer of cumin from Europe can directly contact with a producer of cumin in India.

Generally, a farmer doesn’t know what is a requirement of the consumer. He starts cultivation on the basis of current price and available resources.  If last year prices of tomato were 1.5 USD /kg this year everyone will put tomato and after four months everyone throws the tomato on roads due to poor storage facilities and lower market price.  Blockchain technology will tell the farmers real-time requirement of current sowing. For example, there is the requirement of 100 Units of wheat and all the farmers of the world have sown seeds or done the cultivation which is sufficient for production 100-unit wheat. Once this information will emerge in the network. Will a farmer do further sowing, simply “NO”? Will all seeds companies produce seeds for production of 200-unit wheat? Simply “NO”. If processing unit came to know that this year wheat production in its area is 10 units will it prepare the warehouse for 20 units?? Simply NO.

If consumption of Gram or pulses is 100 Unit in India. The farmer came to know that sowing for production of 90 units has completed. There the is an opportunity to produce 10 unit of the pulse. Will he produce more pulses? Simply “YES”.  In another example, a country has exported 10 unit of pulses. The day order is issued there will be a vacuum in commodity chain of that country. A country can easily manage the vacuum before prices start to inflate after 4-5 months. There is information that Price of Ukraine wheat is USD 1/Kg after importing it will cost 1.2 USD to Bangladesh. Cost of production of wheat is coming only 1.1 USD/Kg in Bangladesh. Will farmer from Ukraine produce wheat to export to Bangladesh? simply “No” if Bangladesh has an opportunity to produce wheat at 1.1 USD/Kg will it consider importing wheat from UKRAINE? Will farmer of Bangladesh not consider producing wheat? simply YES. Here I am giving an example of the country to country. The blockchain is peer to peer direct communication between farmer to consumer. A consumer of Bangladesh can make a contract with the farmer of Ukraine to produce wet for him. IF farmer of Australia is providing cheaper when then he can purchase it from Australian farmer.

Problem of wastage

There is information in the chain that in a particular region there is the production of 100 units of tomato and storage facility is for 20 units. What will a storage company do? It will develop a space for storage of tomato.  There is information in blockchain that 100 units of Potato are laying in “X” warehouse. There will be no new production for 100 units and existing stock will not be thrown on roads. In block, there is information that this year consumption of agrochemical is lower than usual. It means that climatic conditions are good there is no attack of disease and insect and production is expected to be more than normal. The final production will give information to stop production of new crop.

These are only basic problems. It can also solve the other complicated problems related to climate, availability of farm inputs, availability of agriculture finance. A farmer needs finance from a bank, the bank can check that they are giving finance for in-demand crop or for an overproduction crop. Blockchain will make it easy and secure in the transfer of information it will give accuracy. There are no chances in the manipulation of data. As information can’t be put in the back date. IF “X” is a farmer, he has sown on seed for the production of 200 units, he can’t make an agreement to sell the 250 units.  No one can’t hoard the material to create the problem of the artificial supply shortage, simply “NO”.

Blockchain technology is future of world trade. Word trade will come on a platform. All the information will be distributed. It will make sure that no human will dies due to the shortage of food. A lot of countries are facing the problem of shortage of food. If the information is available in the blockchain, then one country can donate the food when the prices are minimum. There will be no miss use of resources. Resources can be used for another task. Global trade in agriculture commodities will become easy. Buyer and seller can easily check that where is their material. No one will do a false contract of supply of the commodity. If “X” doesn’t have stock of spices he can’t sell it to a buyer. Buyer will go to the real seller. Blockchain technology will eradicate the unnecessary middleman. The problem of payment will also eradicate. Buyer will contact seller and seller will get the payment at defined term very fast once the liability of seller will have gone he will get the payment.

It will benefit to small and medium farmers. As per existing information, 70 % of world agriculture production comes from small and medium farmers only.  Organization are working very fast on use of blockchain technology in agriculture. Agriculture and Hunger are the major thrust area for blockchain technology. Extension of existing blockchain to other industry will make it is easier to assist agriculture and serve humanity.

Do farmers get low share due to Unfair Trading Practices in Agriculture ?

Food is the primary requirement of human civilization. Food production is also primary employment for the human civilization. Earlier days of human civilization food production was attached to the rehabilitation, cities or villages. After the rapid urbanization food production activity and agriculture became the secondary employment. Most of the food production move out from big cities. The distance between production and consumption gave birth to trading & food processing activities. In the earlier days, there was the direct exchange of agriculture produce between producer and the end consumer. Grading, packing, and delivery activities were at producer (Farmer) end at another side most of food processing activities like cleaning, preservation tasks were day to day domestic activities at buyer end. In this exchange, there was no gap between producer and consumer.

Now the scenario has changed. The producer has limited himself to food production and the buyer has limited himself to food consumption. In between task like grading, cleaning, packing, processing, preservation, trading, selling is done by the middleman. Producer and consumer have been totally cut. Now the consumer is not aware of the selling price of producer and producer is not aware of buying price of the consumer. Earlier days consumers were totally depended on local production. The producer was totally depended on local consumer. Now people have developed their different taste and they are consuming the food which is produced which is not produced locally. Trading of food activities started with this change and adoption of taste.

Now packing, colour, branding, emotion, taste, lifestyle, status, readiness, export, import, health, taste, process of production, type of production, form of produce, delivery, readiness, comfort, shelf-life, quality, grading, shape, packing, colour, and others has become the scope food. Companies are adding different values in food.

After production and before consumption all the activities are value addition activities. A margin is added at every value addition activity and prices of food produce are keep increasing. Ultimately buyers/end consumers bear and pay all these costs.

Now economists are raising the question that farmers or producer or not getting the fair share of what buyer or consumer is paying. for food produce. By looking the financial condition of producer question is guanine. 70 % world food production comes from small and marginal farmers. In reality buyer not only bear the cost of food, but he also pays for packing, transportation, storage, endorsement, branding, research, interest on, investment, rent of land, cost of post-harvest loss, the inferior performance of employees, manufacturing losses, taxes and duties.

All these value addition activities provide the employment. If anything is added to increase the farmer’s share will be defiantly reach to buyer or consumer end. Buyer or consumer will have to bear that cost. This is also the duty of Govt that buyer get cheaper food without any unnecessary extra regulatory burden.

What can agriculture expect from union budget?

This is last full budget of Shri Narendra Modi led NDA Govt. As per expected there will be a lot of things for poor, farmers and common man as all there are major vote contributor. For the benefit of farmers Govt will give through agriculture and for common man govt will give through industry. What does farmer or agriculture need?

Govt must come with complete supply chain assistance which will assist both farmers and common man. Govt must come with two or three crop specific supply chain system in every district.  It will require farmers for production, common man for employment and industrialist for run this concept.

District “X” produce a lot of tomato. First of all, govt must ask agri input companies for quality seeds and micro nutrient fertilizers as per general soil analysis of that district. It will require an expert team of agronomist for tomato cultivation so that attack of disease and insect can be controlled at first step.  Assist farmers in better production. During the cropping period govt must assist industry to establish sufficient storage facility (it can be permanent or temporary) and all possible processing facilities, which can be pulp extraction, sauce making, dice tomato canning, drying, powder making and long-term tomato storage.

Now question is consumption. Govt must come with concept of promotion of this processed tomato. There must be some GST benefit for a period to ready to eat or processed. Food. Once people will start to use these production then demand will increase slowly and slowly. Dehydration if most stable form which can be stored for long time with zero additional charge. Dry form will also easy to transport. But it must cover complete value chain from production to end consumption.

For some time ready to eat packaged food must keep out of GST. These processed food can be distributed to mid-day meal program. It will save cost of mid-day meal preparation at every school and children will get nutritive food. Processed food have maximum solution of inflation, price falling, storage, consumption, wastage.

This is just an example there can be several other idea. In current budget govt focus on food processing, with complete value chain setup ( from production to consumption) and consumption of processed food.

Agriculture data collection: A big challenge for Indian Agriculture

Data collection is a base of planning and analysis. Indian agriculture is very much diversified in many means like size of land, availability of water, type of crop, season, climatic condition, market value, market demand and many more. There is no hesitation to say that there is no reliable source of agriculture data in India, Most of data are collected by govt employees. There is shortage of govt employees, it is always questionable about method and authenticity of data collected by them. We don’t have any sufficient information about the crop cultivation area, production of agriculture produces, consumption of agriculture produces and available stock.

Policy makers can’t make effective policies as there is no reliable data collection mechanism. There are various points of data collection all these points can be assembled on single platform and data can be extracted as per demand. First point is farmers. Farmers can feed the detail of his land and area of different crop taken on his land. Farmers are primary source of authentic data. Govt must create awareness among farmers for data collection by the farmers. These data can be matched with the agriculture input sellers, that particular input seller has sold the farming input to that particular farmers. After that farmers sell the farm produce to the agriculture market. That agriculture market can be cross check the details if farmers have taken crop on sufficient land as per production with sufficient farm inputs. After that buyer can cross check if there is sufficient production of particular commodity in the specific region. Block-chain technology can be helpful here in real time data collection.

Once the data is collected then it can used by all the stockholders as per their need. Farmer can use it to know the demand of hind production, availability of stock in market and decision making for crop cultivation planning. Traders can use it know that how much quantity they will have to buy from farmers, If the quantity is more that then have they sufficient storage to store new arrival, have they sufficient money to make payment to farmers. Processor can make decision about planning of processing. if the product will available is sufficient quantity for processing. From where processor will but the stock. Govt can make decision if there is any requirement to ban the export import to control the prices from falling or inflation.

Data collection is very crucial step. There must be easy availability of the reliable and real data. Poor data creates a lot of problem for agriculture. After spending the money by the govt, basic agriculture problems remain as it is. At some places farmers don’t get the price of their produce and at some places there is problem of inflation.
